The number 58 bus

This a short but spectacular ride from Buxton to Macclesfield over the Cat and Fiddle road passing the Cat and Fiddle pub the second highest pub above sea level in Britain after the Tan Hill Inn.

For more info on the Tan Hill Inn click here.

To make this journey board the 58 bus operated by High Peak busses journey time about 30 minutes. It runs Once an hour throughout the day. This bus starts at the bottom end of the main shopping street near the big viaduct, Iceland and the Co Op it then makes its way up to the Market Place. If you have used the 65 from Sheffield this stops at the same stops on its way to the market place. After this the bus makes its way out of Buxton it does a loop round a housing estate on the outskirts of the town before heading out into the wilds.
