This route was used in my journey from
Abbeydale Rd Sheffield to Lands End

Red Arrow starts in New Beetwell St Chesterfield it will have Nottingham on the blind as these buses run through to Nottingham but we are only going as far as Derby. There is roughly a half hourly service through the day

Park Road Chesterfield Derbyshire

The bus travels along New Beetwell St and turns left into Park Road and then crosses Markham Rd which we are about to do in this shot


Roundabout junction with Boythorpe Rd and St Augustinens Rd Chesterfield

The bus then joins Boythorpe Rd before coming to the roundabout at the junction with St Augustines Rd which it then turns onto. In this shot we are at the roundabout


Turning out of St Augustines Rd into Derby Rd the A61

The bus then travels down St Agustines Rd and then turns into Derby Rd the A61 which we are doing in this shot. Please note Ref Arrow sometimes uses a slightly different route to get to the A61 than the one described it would seem it does not have any stops between New Beetwell St and this point so the drivers can choose the route

Little Eaton Roundabout

Approaching Little Eaton Roundabout this is where we leave the A38 to make our way into Derby city centre. The A38 at this point becomes the Derby ring road (Derby Bypass)


Alfreton Rd Derby

We head down Alfreton Rd the A61 (Mysteriously although the A61 disappeared at Alfreton we are back on the A61 now for our final run into Derby as it has reappeared on the road signs, this is a very isolated section of this road as north of Alfreton this road is signed and can be followed through Chesterfield, Sheffield, Barnsley, Wakefield, Leeds, Harrogate, Ripon and then to Thirsk at its northern end without interruption). From just after this point the bus seems to take different routes into the city centre depending on the driver

We then go onto the Pentagon Roundabout


Holmes Bridge Derby

We then go along Eastgate and over Holmes Bridge crossing the River Derwent and then onto St Alkmunds Way. In this shot we are crossing Holmes Bridge

We then go onto the Cock Pitt which we are turning onto in this shot
