A train ride from Llandudno Junction to Llandudno

A short but scenic train ride to one of wales most famous holiday resorts

Operater Arriva Trains Wales
Journey time Apprx 10 mins

There is realitivly regular service down the branch line from Llandudno Junction many trains are through trains from Manchester and some are through trains from Blaenau Ffestiniog.

In days gone by Llandudno was the destination of many holiday trains that travelled along the North Wales Coast line and indeed is still used by many holidaymakers today. The Llandudno branch is short but incredibly important

Llandudno station is going through a renovation programe at the moment August 2013 the overhead canopies in this shot once ran much further up the platforms than they do. I can remember this being the case as a child in the 70's. As a child I spent many a happy holiday in Llandudno

This concrete landing stage at the end of the pier was once used by ships to and from the Isle of Man, Liverpool and pleasure cruises indeed I remember as a child in the 70's going a pleaure cruise on a ship run by the Isle of Man Steam Packet Company from here. Nowadays it is just used for fishing
