Bristol 192 Belvedere HC1.
The Bristol HC1 was designed for the Royal Air Force to carry 18 soldiers and up to three tons of equipment over short distance.
The prototype first flew on the 5 July 1958.
The Belvedere entered service with the RAF in 1961 with 72 squadren.
By then the Westland Aircraft Company had taken over production. Only 26 Belvederes were ever built and served with the RAF until 1969

This is the 7th pre production Belvedere (XG454) built in July 1960.
It was used mainly tor testing and training mainly owing to 2 bad crashes in 1961. The last crash was while preparing for the Farnborough Airshow in August.
The helicopter was rebuilt in 1964 for further tests and selected for preservation in 1968
